On Homecoming October 22nd, alumni were given the opportunity to have an exclusive tour of the new Jr High/High School. The tours were given by the current students who are involved with Student Council or National Honor Society. Tours were given during school hours, so the alumni that showed up for a tour were able to experience it with the student environment.
Tours began around ten in the morning and were still going after two even though students had been released early because of the pep rally. The tours were brief but very educational of the new school. They included the most important features of the school which are: the auditorium, lunchroom, library, art room, offices, one classroom, and band hall. However, along the way, tourists were also taken to other interesting places of the new school such as the computer lab and gym. Also, at the request of the alumni, the tour guides also took them to visit their favorite teachers and meet new ones.
Overall, the tours turned out great as many alumni were able to get an inside view of the new school in a student environment. Even though they are not able to enjoy the greatness of the new school as students, they were able to get an inside look of it even if it was brief. They leave with the satisfaction of knowing that many great things are being done in their old environment as we show our greatness and PRIDE.
