Trips are an Educational Experience
Clubs such as Esperanto, seen here at a recent breakfast, benefit from trips planned by advisors. - The Language Department

Upper Perkiomen High School has a variety of clubs that offer trips to places ranging from Hershey to foreign countries.
Trips can be educational and help students gain a much better understanding of different cultures, as well as get perspective on the world outside of their own backyard.
Esperanto, Upper Perkiomen High School’s language and culture club, often takes trips to Europe or the Caribbean island nations, such as Puerto Rico.
Some may argue that club trips are a waste of school time and money, and this may reign true with certain trips, but most are aimed at making a strong educational point and succeed in doing so.
If necessary, the school district could cancel trips if they see them as being too costly or ineffectual to the students’ education.
Unlike class trips, the club trips only bring the students involved in the club. Since being in the club means that the person is interested in the subject, he or she is not wasting money by tactfully avoiding those that may not get anything out of it or are uninterested in the subject.
Club trips certainly are a very good way to further educate students in ways that cannot be duplicated in the classroom.
