Denard Robinson is taking Michigan to the top.
In the second week of college football, Michigan played Notre Dame. Quarterback Denard Robinson not only scored the winning touchdown, but racked up 244 passing yards and rushed 258. The week after against University of Massachusetts, Denard Robinson went for 345 total yards (241 pass and 104 rush) and three touchdowns.
When Michigan played Bowling Green, Robinson ran five times and got 129 yards and made two touchdowns. In addition, he passed for 60 yards and went 4-4, completed four pass without a mistake-- all this in nine minutes. Robinson and the Wolverines nearly escape with a win from the Indiana Hoosiers. Robinson combines again for another 200+ rushing and 200+ in passing.
Robinson is now the current leader of the Heisman race.
