As many as 7 people gang raped a 15-year-old girl while several watched and did nothing outside a California high school’s Homecoming dance.

     Read that one more time.  SEVEN people raped a innocent teenage girl while 20 people watched and did NOTHING!  How can a person see such a horrific incident take place and not one person try to interfere and stop it?

     Manuel Ortega, 19, was arrested and booked on charges of rape, kidnapping, and robbery.  His bail has been set at $800,000.  Six others were also arrested, but are all underage so their names were not released. 

     The attack, which lasted over 2 hours, was said to have started after the 15-year-old left her high school’s Homecoming dance early to wait for her father to pick her up.    Being raped is many girls worst fear.  Those responsible for this should be locked up and forgotten.  After all, they must have forgotten about how this would affect the victim years from now.

     Rape victims lose their ability to trust.  They can develop depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, low self esteem, or suicidal tendencies.  They can also suffer from rape trauma syndrome.  What kind of person would do something that would cause another human being that kind of emotional and psychological pain?  Clearly these people are ones without morals and without a conscious.
