I met Jessica in freshman year, she was semi-quiet, but then I got to know her when I made a point to refer to someone as a “camera hogger”.
She then laughed, and said “I know, right?” We became friends after that for some weird reason, and we still talk to this day. Well, it’s kind of hard not to when we have journalism together again. She’s always ranting on about “ruling the world” and stuff, y’know how kids are these days. But besides her dictator-like personality, she’s a cool person to hang out with. She even earned herself a nickname during biology class. She’s known as Jessica the Raccoon, even though she bears no resemblance to one, but I guess it must be her ninja-like way of getting out of things. (Apparently raccoons remind me of ninjas..)
She’s one of those people who are lazy, but smart. And the type of person to appear cold-hearted but is actually a very kind person, except she’s a backpack hater for some reason and gets annoyed when I put my backpack next to her. Like, really, she’s a completely different person when I do that |: But she gives me candy so I end up forgiving her, (or should it be the other way around?)
We’re always talking about random stuff, going on Yahoo, and looking at websites involving the paranormal, superstitions, prophecies and the like. You could say it’s one of our weird hobbies, but no one’s judging right? Well, except maybe for Matthew, who looks at us with a disappointed expression on his face.
I’m sure we’ll still be friends for the remaining two years, and she’ll still be called Raccoon and maybe I’ll still be called Hippo. All I know is she’s a friend I’ll never forget!
