The Red Cross came to my school on Thursday, May 26. Several students, including myself, gave blood.
The blood drive was held in the small gymnasium, and it was at least 80 degrees in there. Meghan Houlihan almost passed out twice due to the heat. She ended up being there for two hours, unable to go back to class because she wasn't feeling well.
This had been the second time I donated blood, and due to the heat I almost passed out. It was by far one of the most embarrassing experiences.
After talking to other students who gave blood, they didn't feel well after either. Next time there's a blood drive in the school, there should probably be air conditioning.
