Lions Dance ‘Under the Sea’Tuesday, May 29, 2012 By Abrianna Procissi and Courtney Vollaire
Most of the junior and senior Mountain Lions were ready to dive under the sea for a night to remember. This year’s theme was ‘Under the Sea’ which the Lions dove right into for their prom night. The senior prom court consisted of was Brian Manalo, Nick Scapellato, Marquis Taylor, Jorge Echavarria, Ryan Phung, Candance Reardon, Courtney Reardon, Shannen Lee, Tasha Cutjapan and Tunica Kruyer. The 2011-2012 Sierra Vista High School prom king and queen were high school sweet-hearts seniors Shannen Lee and Jorge Echiavarria. “When Jorgeand I won King and queen it was amazing because he’s my best friend and he has been a large part of my high school life, this last moment was perfect,” explained Lee. After crowing the king and queen had their dance alone, this had captivated the crowd. “It was a good way to end my senior year,” explained Echavarria. “Because a lot of people who wanted to win and I got the privlege to win it. This is one of the top memoories I’ll have from my high school years.” As prom continued on into the night, sadly the event was over and seniors were satisfied with the night of dancing and music. |
