Spiders make a difference at Special OlympicsMonday, May 04, 2009 By Leiloni Mulligan, Class of 2009
Every year the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center hosts the Special Olympics, and it is a great time for anyone in the community to go out and show how much they really care. On Wednesday, April 28, CHS’s student council and leadership classes volunteered to help out. As a volunteer, everything is quite simple; all you are required to do is be an encouraging partner to the athletes and just have fun with them. Check out the collection of photos from the event, provided by social studies teacher Leanne Havely.
