The Three-Headed Monster: Rap superstar, 50 Cent, says "it's coming"Friday, November 07, 2008 By Julian Vera
The year of 2008 is expected to have an amazing fourth quarter for album releases. Big artists such as Beyonce, Kanye West, Ludacris, and Britney Spears are planning to drop their new albums. However, three big Hip-Hop artists are planning to takeover the album chart sales during the year of 2009. These three artists are some of the best selling and biggest rappers worldwide today. Can you guess who it is? Yeah, you guessed it, it’s Eminem, 50 Cent, and Dr. Dre. The three Aftermath/Shady signed artists are dropping their albums very soon and fans are dying for them to return. The start of “The Three-Headed Monster,” said by 50 Cent himself will begin as soon his album releases. 50 Cent will drop Before I Self Destruct as his fourth and final album under Aftermath/Shady records. Soon after, sometime early 2009, Eminem will drop his highly anticipated album Relapse . Eminem’s sixth studio album will be his first solo album since 2004’s Encore , excluding 2005’s greatest hits album Curtain Call: the Hits . After 50 Cent and Eminem’s albums drop, Dr.Dre’s third and final album, Detox , will finally release sometime in 2009. Detox was first mentioned back in 2000 and originally planned to release in 2004. Many of his fans have been hyping his album for more than 8 years. Most students seem to be very interested about the three albums releasing, while some have a different opinion. Vanessa Velasquez, junior, said “it’s amazing that three artists from the same label are dropping their CD’s around the same time. They are contributing a lot to the hip hop game. Hopefully this will help bring back true hip-hop and show what it really is.” “ HECK YEAH …They should all drop real soon so they can set the standards high. They are going to kill the charts,” said, junior, Nicholas Guerrero. Radames Cedeno, junior, said “it’s a great idea. All three of them are big artists and people have been waiting for the return of Dr. Dre and Slim Shady.” “It’s a great way to make money. Eminem and 50 Cent will sell a bunch of records. But I don’t know about Dr. Dre…He hasn’t been out in years,” said, junior, Ackeem Minott Erick Puma, sophomore, said “Eminem will sell millions. 50 Cent isn’t even good anymore. I don’t know about Dre. The majority of students feel that it’s a great idea and seem pretty positive about them selling a lot of records. 50 Cent's new album will be the start of the much anticipated “Three-Headed Monster.” |
