We all enjoy listening to music. Whether it’s dancing to the nation’s Top 40 hits or going with a group of friends to the Roxy or Key Club to watch a rock show, music plays an extensive role in almost every person’s lifestyle.

But doesn’t it feel like you’ve heard every one of your favorite songs countless of times?

Repetition doesn’t have to harmonize our favorite music anymore because pandora.com is a website designed specifically to cure the boredom we unfortunately experience from listening to the radio or Ipod.

A simple all-browser compatible search engine is linked to your favorite band/song, playing music that is categorized in the same style/genre as your preferred hit. In addition, there are no audio advertisements to interrupt songs.

What’s the catch? Who said there was a catch? After a good half-hour sample that includes full use of the player, the folks from Music Genome Project (makers of Pandora) ask you to register with an email address.

It only takes a few minutes before you can stream to potential favorite artists, changing them at your will.

The three-minute sign-up process helps the player remember the user’s favorites and history, in case you choose to use it on another computer. Basically, Pandora is all about you and what you like.

The benefits to this search engine are never ending.

It would not hurt for each of us to discover some new artists; perhaps some who resemble and sound like today’s hugest pop stars but hold performances at affordable prices.

Pandora not only opens up the listeners’ ears, but it also opens up their eyes to different styles of music by artists they never knew existed.

And what about the musical library itself?

You will be amazed at how many artists this engine stores; entire songs you can rate and eliminate from the play list.

Surprisingly, the connection to successfully stream the player does not have to be high-speed-- so almost anyone can listen.

Whether you’re a rap lover who just discovered Green Day, or a Coldplay listener who had just fallen in love with Ramones’ simple three-cord style, this site has something for all who are open to new music they are almost guaranteed to become fans of.
