Hillary Clinton is a senator from New York and the wife of popular former President Bill Clinton, who held office from 1993-2001 and made Hillary a very visible First Lady. This recognition has helped make her a frontrunner.

Although Clinton has billed herself as a liberal feminist, her policies are more conservative than other Democratic candidates.

She has the most experience of any of the Democrats, having been elected to the senate in 2000. This has led to fears that she’s a Washington Insider who will stifle change in our political climate.

Although she voted for the Iraq War, she is against it. She has spoken out against the war on numerous occasions, but has defended her vote just as often.

“I don’t regret giving the president authority because at the time it was in the context of weapons of mass destruction (and) grave threats to the United States,” Clinton told CNN.com.
