This year the boys soccer team is having the best season it has had in many years, mainly because it is getting along so well. Its camarederie has brought itgreat success out on the field. Varsity's record as of Feb. 2 was 5-1-1.

"I heard last year's team was good, but this year we play better as a team because we ware more focused," said Ashley Otero, varsity goal keeper.

Varsity captain Oar Castellanos has no regrets about the season. He knows the team is trying their best, and he says to his teammates to keep working hard.

The team was undefeated until it lost to Hamilton, 2-1, on Jan. 19. The team is looking forward to playing them again this season and beating them.

Even though the team cannot wait to play Hamilton, the school that it was most anxious to play was Fairfax. Early in the season, the players for Fairfax got in a fight during a game. Things got out of hand, and one of the players hit a referee.

The principal of the school was upset about the players' behavior, and he suspended the team temporarily. However, it is now allowed to play again.

"We haven't beat Fairfax for over two years," said Castellanos. The team played Fairfax on Feb. 1 and won 3-1.

The JV team is still undefeated in the league. Its record as of Feb. 2 was six wins, one tie and no losses. The one tie was against Fairfax, 0-0. Last year, it had a horrible season; but this year, things have changed.

"This season is not what I expected. Thankfully, I am surprised; I have no regrets," said JV captain Carlos Cabrera.

Eric Perez Salgado, JV stopper, stated that this is his first season playing for the school, and that he is happy about how the team is playing.

"This season is perfect. Our captain Carlos has great leadership," said Salgado.
