The Venice High swim season has come to an end with girls coming in fifth place in city and boys in fourth out of 51 schools in LAUSD.

The breakdown for girls were Palisades High in first place, Cleveland High second, Granada Hills High third, El Camino High fourth, and Venice High coming fifth. As for the boys, it was Cleveland High in first place, Palisades High second, Granada Hills third, and Venice High boys fourth.

Coach Sophie Sabbah's advice to those who are interested in joining next year is, "join a club team or some program over the summer," because next year's try-outs in November are going to be harder.

The frosh/soph team will be eliminated because all coaches of the 51 schools voted it off. Swim team will only have a varsity and junior varsity team. Varsity is going to be based on talent, not on grade level: words of wisdom from Sabbah.
