The track and field team has performed amazingly this whole season.

They went against Fairfax April 13th and boys' varsity and boys' frosh-soph won. Girls' varsity won but girls' froshsoph lost. The Fairfax meet was a great last home meet.

April 29th was their meet against Palisades High, Venice's biggest rival of all time, commented junior runner Alex Lopez. The varsity boys won. This meet was the last meet for the runners that aren't going to preliminaries.

Preliminaries started May 5 at Palisades High. Junior Warsame Ahmed won two heats and junior Carlos Flores won one heat. Freshman Sarah Dobbs won her heat and Rion An, a junior, also won her heat.

All boys and girls' varsity advanced to league finals which will be held today at Palisades.

"Most of our team should do well and at the end it comes down to your mind, heart, and body," said captain Eden Kiflezgi.
