The new iPad by Apple was released on April 3. The so-called "magical and revolutionary product," as described by Apple, isn't all that great.

This product considered to be the replacement for laptops yet it's nothing close to being a laptop. The iPad is simply an "iPod on steroids.” Its lack of innovating features are the main reason people are changing their minds about this product.

Basically, the iPad does everything that a iPod touch does. However, being able to type documents is one of its positive features.

"I don't think it's worth it, because you can't do anything you can't already do with a computer," said junior Dexter Shepherd.

One of the most talked about issues with the iPad is that it allows no multitasking. What the hell? Want to browse Safari while typing up an essay? Too bad. It's not possible with the new iPad.

Now let us pretend the price isn't that bad. They start at only $499. But ask yourself, is it really worth those five hundred bucks? Many don't think so.

“It's a waste of money," said eleventh grader Joshua Gonzales, when asked what he thought of the new touchscreen "computer."

Are you into the new video chat trend? Well one of the iPad's biggest blunders is that it has no camera. So much for those entertaining video chats with your friends.

Streaming videos are a big part of the Internet. Most of those streaming videos require Adobe Flash Player, and to no one's surprise, this new device does not support Flash for security reasons. So goodbye to watching your favorite streaming videos via your iPad.

The disappointments don't stop there. A special adaptor is needed for every device you try to connect to your iPad. Even a USB! The iPad has no USB port. Get ready to buy all those expensive adaptors.

Although it has some positive features, such as its size and weight, the iPad’s negative ones are endless. If you just happen to have five hundred bucks and find nothing better to spend it on, why not buy it? Otherwise, take a second to take into consideration how disappointed the iPad will leave you.
