Through a national non-partisan organization called Freedom’s Answer, students can now become involved in the voting process.

Freedom’s Answer goal is to engage young people in the political process, so that when they turn 18, they will become lifetime voters, and lifetime leaders.

To achieve this, Freedom’s Answer asked thousands of high schools across the country to encourage students to pledge their votes at www.freedomsanswer.net, and to seek ten voting pledges each from people who would not ordinarily vote.

So far, 400 students at MKHS signed pledge cards, which are displayed around the school.

It does not matter which party you vote for. If you are old enough to vote, know that your vote counts, and can make a difference. Do it to honor the hard- working servicemen and women, but most importantly, do it for yourself, your freedom.
