Miss Ukraine 2007, Lika Roman, visited the school on Feb. 13. Roman is currently traveling around the United States warning youth about destructive decisions. She is not shy about her virginity and she lives according to the values instilled by her mother.

Roman believes that destructive decisions start with dating and that true love is possible if we keep our hearts clean.

“Our heart is like scotch tape. If you stick two pieces of tape together, they attach well. If you tape the two pieces to the wall, or something else, they will become dirty and dusty so that they will no longer stick well together,” Roman said. “The same is with dating.”

She believes that drugs and sex do not cause happiness, but actually result in more damage.“There are many successful people who are empty inside and fill their emptiness with drugs,” Roman said.

“What we do now affects our future,” she believes. “The person you will be in five years is determined now.”
