This year, Mrs. Kilman is ecstatic to be the new UIL coordinator. To get started on the competition(s) you are interested in, talk with Mrs. Kilman or your teachers. UIL gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of specific skills and compliments your academic curriculum that is specially designed to motivate and challenge you. Those who are involved in UIL score higher on standardized tests and make higher SAT scores. Participating in UIL also promotes you to get more scholarship opportunities and prepares you for college and the working world. It is also a great way to meet and compete with other students!

 Competitions include:
 Accounting, calculator applications, Mathematics, number sense, CX Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Computer Apps., Social Studies (US Space Exploration), Science, Ready Writing, Journalism events, One-Act-Play, Informative Specking, Persuasive Speaking, Poetry interpretation, prose interpretation, Spelling/Vocabulary, Literary criticism, and Current Issues & Events.
