As the 2007-2008 school year comes to an end, so does the closure of various organizations. The senior THS cheerleaders, for the past year, turned in their pom-poms and handed them over to the new group of upcoming cheerleaders. On April 10, TJH and THS tryouts were held in the new gym for the spot to become a member. Seniors, Kori Guerrero, Laci Lancaster, Melissa Hartley, Tiffany Ballard, and Brittney McWilliams, taught the potential cheerleaders, for the past two weeks, the dance and cheer. Then three judges from Waco came to Teague to judge them on jumps, dance and their cheerleading abilities.

After a long process of tallying scores, Mrs. Dunn announced the upcoming 2008-2009 squad. The junior high squad consists of: Kirby Cooper, Kelsie Lummus, Ellie Perales, Mariah Sandlin, Shelby Stansbury, Emily Walker, Carlee Crowell, Sarah Dawson, Haley Guerrero, Taylor Hunt, Brittnee Ransberger, Morgan Sims, mascot Erica Perez and alternates, Nicosha Nelms and Sibyl Burrell.

The high school Junior Varsity cheerleaders are: Ryneshia Brooks, Haley Brown, Elayna Curry, Courtney Ivison, Amber Kerzee, and Madison Watson; and the Varsity squad consists of: Brittany Beasley, Brittany Brown, Lindsay Hayes, Morgan Lee, Reagan Mathison, Allyson Monks, Sarah Waldrip, Casey Winkler, Michael Harvey, and mascot, Keisha Hill.
