Do you feel a need for lending a helping hand over the holidays?

If so, Holiday Helpers and Student Council at LHS are sponsoring a food drive and all students are encouraged to participate. Students and staff that wish to help can bring non-perishable food items to their SEB classroom. To encourage students to participate, there will be daily prizes awarded to the SEB that brings in the most food.

Another opportunity to help will be at the varsity sports games on Dec. 6 and 7. Students that bring a non-perishable food item to one of these games will be put in a raffle at half time to win CD walkmans. Students will receive one raffle ticket for every non-perishable food item they bring so the more they bring, the better their chances of winning.

One last way for students to help out over the holidays is through the “Make a Change” boxes that are located in all SEB classrooms. Students can donate money into these boxes to help less fortunate LHS students and their families. As an incentive for making donations, the four SEBs that contribute the most money will be awarded with a party.
