The intramurals team schedule was released March 19, with copies posted in the main hall and on Mr. Klein’s office door.

The six-week season will feature twelve teams; twice as many as predicted before spring break. New teams not in the article below (“Intramurals team rosters released”) include the Show Stoppers, R B Players, Lunch Ballers, Peter’s Disciples, and Royalties. FMC has also now officially registered, along with the soccer team, who are playing as Peter’s Disciples. Rosters for these updated teams have not been released to the Cyber Plainsman yet but we will keep you posted as the information comes in.

The new CP poll, taken from each team’s coach, shows a few changes with the introduction of these teams, although Dominando retains their strong first place seed, receiving all first place votes. Greg Guice’s Emo’s and Eskimos are bumped down to the third place spot, replaced by Jackson Bailey and FMC. Peter’s Disciples received a fourth place seed having been made apparent just this week. Fifth is the Azteks with the Brady Bunch and Wu-tang Clan in a tie for sixth. Teams not mentioned were not given a seed because their rosters have not been released yet.

Games began Monday, March 19 in the small and large gyms at 7 p.m. According to Klein, “teams must have five players present at 7 p.m. sharp or they will forfeit the game.” The night’s big game was Dominando versus the Faculty. Dominando came away with a hard fought victory on the back of Marshal Kelly, who drained his first three three-pointers to score the team’s first nine points. The faculty had an advantage with a full roster, being able to substitute players whenever needed, but it wasn’t enough to keep Dominando down. In the end they walked away with a four-point margin on the faculty. The game was predicted to be close, and will likely be a preview of the S.E.B. championship game to be held at the end of the season. On Tuesday, March 20, number three-seeded Emo’s and Eskimo’s will take on number four Peter’s Disciples in a battle for the true third place vote. Students are welcome to attend all games. Stay posted for results.
