All the years of hard work and dedication in baseball have finally paid off for junior Andrew Lasure. The junior has been named to the Under Armour all American team. With only a few other juniors being elected to this team, it is a very big accomplishment.

"I was shocked when I found out I had been named to the all American team. It was a big thing to me. It was rewarding in the stand point of being honored for all the hard work that I have put into this sport and also what the coaches that I have been surrounded by have done for me," says Lasure.

Being named all American has brought more attention to this high school baseball star, who maintains a 3.267 grade point average and carried a .477 batting average through the 2010 season for the Admirals. He has been a full time starter for DHS since he was in the eighth grade. "With being named an All American I’m sure it has helped me get my name out there a little more and be a little more publicized. So with this it could help open my choices up a little more," stated Lasure.

Andrew is a very hard worker on the field and in the classroom. He is constantly doing something to better himself as an athlete but as a student as well.

"Andrew Lasure is an extremely hard worker.  Whatever he is doing, he gives it 100% and wants to be the best he can.  It has been a great pleasure to see the improvements he has made and I’m excited for him and the future he has in baseball," says Coach Morse- Danville High School baseball coach.

As of now, Andrew isn’t entirely sure of what school he wants to go to after he is finished with high school. All he knows is that he wants to continue with baseball at the next level and face the best competition.

"I really have no clue where I want to go. I can only keep my options open and hopefully the right school will be come and I will be comfortable with the decision I make. And hopefully it will better my carrer and help me face the best competition," said Lasure.
