The Danville Admirals made school history on October 29, we hope. After winning the district and regional titles and the first round of the Sweet Sixteen, weather moved the game back to Thursday night, so it’s all speculation and hope at this point as our press deadline is Wednesday afternoon.

However Thursday’s game turned out, Danville won the District, Regional, Sub-Sectional, and Sectional titles.
With a regular season record of 12-3-3 including at least five straight post-season wins, Danville soccer is on a roll.  

"We’re playing really well right now," says Danville’s forward Jacob Winkler, who had the hat trick against Somerset in the Regional final and two goals in the Sub-Sectional 4-0 victory.
"No one really expected us to make it this far, but I think we’ve exceeded everyone’s expectations this season," says Danville midfielder Nate Johnson. Danville has been definitely showing confidence through the post season only allowing one goal the entire post season (as of the Elite Eight) and that was against Boyle County, in some eyes their greatest opponent so far.

Whether the Ads’ run for glory ended Thursday night or continues on in next week’s Final Four, the 2009-2010 boys soccer team has played a season to remember.
