Two months ago, students toured the Newton Booth campus for the first time. But this isn’t the first “new” campus our school has dealt with.

We’ve had over 100 potential sites in the past 30 years. From tank farms and plane crashes to endangered beetles, something has always gotten in the way.

But this time we’re doing well with environmental and city issues. We have only one major hurdle: money.

If we can raise another $1,700,000, we’re in. The high school will be housed in a colossal New England prep-school-like structure.

We’ll have indoor hallways, a nice performing arts space, and room for more students. And the middle school can expand into the current high-school campus.

Yes, times are tough and money is sparse, but we can’t lose this opportunity. If we don’t raise the funds by April, there goes yet another possibility.

We raised enough money for the new lower school, right? Why can’t we do so for Newton Booth?
