According to their MySpace page, the Death or Glory Fest is “2 days of fun in the sun with some of the best punk & hardcore bands around today…a giant backyard BBQ, where the good times and great music are supplemented with tasty food.”

And that’s exactly what it is. For two years, Death or Glory Festival showcased some of the best punk and hardcore bands from Northern California and even the world.

It’s a long lineup that spans a weekend in August.

In past years they have featured local Sacramento hardcore favorite the Hoods and have even had Des-Kontrol, a punk band from the Basque region of Spain. The Whiskey Rebels are also always a headliner.

While the location of this year’s festival is still up in the air, Death or Glory was held last year at Plainfield Station in Woodland.

Last year, you crossed through a restaurant and bar area where people flocked to escape the heat. Walking through, the music got louder until you finally got to the ticket booth.

In the back was the center of the festival and the stage.

There was an endless amount of merchandise sold around the stage area and the main floor, ranging from record labels selling different albums to individual bands selling T-shirts and records. There were even tables dedicated to more obscure UK brand fashions such as Lonsdale or Fred Perry.

Lesser known bands started off the show at around 2 p.m. The festival closed with bigger local bands or a special performance by a well-known punk band.

And there was a special appearance by the famous older punk band 7 Seconds.

At this point, the exact date, time, and lineup of the festival are still undetermined. However, you can check for updates on the Death or Glory Fest MySpace.
