Over the summer, teacher Aaron McLeran, whom the school employed two years ago, e-mailed a team of Electronic Arts Games video game designers asking for their advice on a piece of electronic music software he was working on.

Several months later he received a response—and a job offer.

“I was given a golden opportunity to start a career in the field of my dreams,” McLaren said.

The team, headed by electronic music legend Brian Eno, is creating electronic music for the video game “Spore.”

McLeran will leave after finals to work with the team, and will pursue a longer-term job with Sony after the team finishes its work later this year.

Tutor, substiture teacher, and Indysisive band manager Mike Brennan will teach AP Physics in McLeran’s place, and math teacher Chris Millsback will move up to teach AP Calculus.
