As the end of the year approaches, it seems teachers are rushing to get in everything we should have already learned. The teachers keep pushing, and the students keep caring less and less.

This last week of school has been nothing but stress for most students with end of the year projects, homework, and final exam reviews beginning. Most students can’t help but think, “It’s the end of the year. Why I’m I doing all this work?”

Students can recall sitting in class for weeks not doing much of anything, but yet the last week of school all of this worked is piled up. It seems with the enormous amount of testing occurring at the end of the year, that teachers have missed class time and are now being forced to cram everything in at the last second. However, what teachers don’t realize is that the students are completely and utterly burned out. Not an ounce of knowledge can be forced into their brains.

So when will the strenuous curriculum ever end? Maybe administrators and teachers will realize that only so much can be learned in a certain amount of time, and by the end of the year students simply don’t care.
