Yihanna is an outstanding student with a good sense of balance between hard work and fun. She enjoys snowboarding, skiing and of course, gymnastics. After starting 14 years ago and competing for nine of them, her hard work paid off since she’s been a Gaithersburg High School co-captain this year and last year.

However, gymnastics is not the only place this girl likes to shine. As the president of ALAS, Yihanna has helped sustain a sense of diversity at GHS. She will be attending Stanford this fall (yes, Stanford) and will pursue a pre-law major. Yihanna specifically wants to have a career as a human rights lawyer, stating she will be “fighting for the rights of the deprived.”
