I went to Projekt Revolution on August 1 at the Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix and it was the sweetest concert ever!

Not only did it rock, but it also made the world a better place to live in.

Why do I say this, you may ask?

It’s because Linkin Park organized this concert as a “green” concert; they are running their tour busses and truck fleet on bio diesel, and they are donating one dollar from every ticket to the global warming relief campaign.

Altogether, using bio diesel fuel will eliminate 326 tons of CO2 emissions per year, which is more than driving a car around the world one time.

The concert brought some of the best bands together to perform.

Some of the bands were: HIM, Saosin, Linkin Park, Mindless Self Indulgence, Taking Back Sunday, and My Chemical Romance.

I missed the first two bands but I got there in time to hear Saosin; they sang “Voices,” “You’re Not Alone,” “Bury Your Head,” “Follow and Feel,” and “New Angel.”

They were awesome!

Mindless Self Indulgence then came on stage.

They performed well and they said some curse words that probably shouldn’t be mentioned in a school newspaper, but they had me laughing the whole time.

They sang the songs “1989,” “Shut Me Up,” and “Straight to Video.”

Those were the last two bands to play on the Revolution stage.

When the main stage opened up, Julien K played a few songs, but I didn’t like them too much.

They sounded like an old band from the 80’s and they didn’t do anything that would make me remember them in a year.

Then Placebo played; I absolutely hated them!

The whole time they played I wanted to punch myself in the groin to distract myself from their horrible sound; I mean they were seriously bad!

They not only had a terrible singer, but the rest of the music sounded horrible; I don’t recommend them to anyone. Well, maybe to the deaf!

The concert got better again once HIM came on stage.

The lead singer sounded a little drunk when he talked, slurring his words a lot, but when he was singing, the band sounded sweet.

They sang, “Behind the Crimson Door,” “Drunk on Shadows,” and “Wings of a Butterfly.”

They weren’t very active on stage though, they mostly stood around, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Taking Back Sunday came on stage the lead singer seemed slightly hyper; he dropped the microphone once and made up a story about hitting the lead singer of Saosin with an electric scooter.

They got the crowd active as they sang “Liar,” “A Decade under the Influence,” and “What’s it Feel Like to be a Ghost.”

When My Chemical Romance started singing, everyone in the audience was very excited.

There was a lot of fire involved in their show.

I like them a lot; they sounded different than they usually do on their CD’s, but I definitely think they are worth seeing if given the chance.

They sang “House of Wolves,” “Helena,” “Teenagers,” and “Welcome to the Back Parade.”

I was most excited for Linkin Park; when they came out on stage I almost exploded!

It was cool because Chester, the vocalist for Linkin Park, is from Phoenix and he talked about how he liked playing there because he grew up seeing his favorite artists play in the same area.

It was very fun to watch Linkin Park because they sounded awesome as they sang about 25 songs.

I am happy I experienced Projekt Revolution even though I couldn’t stand to hear Placebo; everyone else made up for it.
