As my freshman year comes to a close, I look back on everything that I have done this past school year. Music has been a big part in my life. I have been involved in the marching band, concert band, pep band, symphony orchestra, symphonic choir, and “Bye Bye Birdie.”

I have gotten to know so many people. When my band and choir seniors graduate I know that I will be upset because those groups will never be the same, and as I get older they will continue to change.

If I could repeat this year I would probably study harder and pay more attention in my classes. I would also have been more involved with other musical groups.

I am looking forward to trying out for JG Company, and being involved with the jazz band and the brass choir. I am also looking forward to band camp. Last year we had so much fun and I am so very glad that I got involved with the marching band.

This year was so much fun. As a freshman/ freshie/ newbie, as I have been called, I have learned that not all of the upperclassmen are the nicest. Being involved in the band and knowing upperclassmen before school started I think helped me to make it through that year without much torture.

I am anxious for the next three years of my high school career, although, I will miss the upperclassmen greatly as they graduate each year. To my band seniors: “We love you seniors, Oh yes we do. We love you seniors and we’ll be true. When you’re not near us we’re blue. Oh seniors we love you… you know the rest.
