Last Wednesday the Lady Muskies took on Harrison Central in the District Finals at River View. As tensions were high, the girls knew they had a lot riding on this game. The Ladies came out strong and played to the best of their ability, and it showed with a 5-0 win over the Huskies.

Logan Hursey came in strong and prepared to take down the Huskies. She threw a no-hitter, her eighth of the year, and had 15 K’s and only one walk.

Amy Graham set the bar once again on offense as she led with a double, a single and two RBI’s. Kristyn Heagen kept the intensity up with a double and two RBI’s along with Jenna Shingary who hit a single and ran in two runs.

The Lady Muskies improved their overall record to 26-3.

The girls won this game a little easier than expected, but there’s no need for the pressure to lessen. The Ladies take on Columbus DeSales next Thursday at Pickerington Central. This is one of the tougher teams the girls have seen this season and tensions are high going into next week. “This is going to be a tough battle. It’s just a matter of how well our girls can handle what DeSales is putting down offensively,” offers coach Randy Larrick.

It’s definitely a possibility for the girls to be successful this week, but hard work and dedication must be in full stock if the Ladies plan to pull out a win.
