Over the past four years, a lot of things have happened in this school. There have been many changes in both the schools and its inhabitants.

As freshmen, we learned geography and navigation skills. With the remodeling of the school, new dry-wall was put up each day, changing the direction of the hallways. Each day we learned how to get to classes – without a compass or an eighth grade tour. Impressive, right?

As sophomores, we learned about science, and how to be the guinea pigs in an experiment. It was the very first year that sophomores had to take the Ohio Graduation Test, and pass it in order to graduate. Most of the year was spent with teachers worrying about whether or not we were prepared, and most of us not really caring. Apparently not caring is a forte of our class since the average score results were higher than the state average in every single category. What can I say – for a small class, we’ve got brains.

When junior year was coming to a close, we learned a very important lesson in interior design, and how to decorate on a budget. With such a small class, it was difficult to raise a large prom budget through magazine sales. However, with barely $5,000 for a budget, the class pulled together and turned the cafeteria from a daily mess-hall to an Arabian adventure.

After three very long years, we finally became seniors. We learned that the homecoming games really aren’t rigged for the seniors, but they’re actually just rigged against our class (there’s evidence on video). Either way, we pulled together for the canned food drive and proved everyone wrong as a class of just barely 120 broke the senior record and contributed to the breaking of the school record.

As the year started to come to a close, we successfully learned how to focus entirely on court cases and put ourselves on auto-pilot for the rest of our classes – a skill that I’m sure will come in handy for college.

Now with finals over, and nothing left but senior activities, our important decisions at hand are nothing more than, whose graduation party to go to. As we count down the days until we finally get to walk across that stage, anticipating the words that we’ve waited so long to hear, there’s only one thing running through our minds – thank God it’s over! But, we’ll miss it. After all, what other school actually listens to a class that complains for two years straight about never getting a party and then throws them one as a surprise during their last month?
