In their game against the Giants, cowboy’s quarterback, Drew Bledsoe, passed an interception and was sacked four times before the second half. Bill Parcells took out Bledsoe and backup, Tony Romo, finished the game, along with the rest of the season.

“Yeah, there’s no doubt this is an extremely disappointing situation for me,” said Bledsoe, according to Nfl.com. “This is not how I would’ve ever imagined things going.”

“Any time you do something like this, it’s not without a long of consideration,” said Dallas coach, Parcells, according to NFL.com.

When asked who they thought would win the upcoming Christmas day game, four out of 10 students said the Cowboys would win and six out of 10 said that the Eagles would win.

Also, when asked who the better quarterback was, three out of 11 students said that Tony Romo is the better quarterback; three out of 11 said Jeff Garcia is the better QB, and five out of 11 were undecided.

“I think the Eagles will probably do O.K. But the Cowboys will do better! Even though they lose some games, they always come back,” said Desaree Barnett, a senior.

Kelly Gallagher, a seventh-grader, agrees with Barnett.

“Now that we don’t have Donovan McNabb, I don’t think there is a chance of winning,” said Gallagher.

John Allen, also a seventh-grader, disagrees with Gallagher.

“Jeff Garcia has stepped up very well since the McNabb injury and has been playing well, but not a lot of people are giving him credit,” said Allen. “Everyone said that McNabb is out and the Eagles are done…but he [Garcia] has really impressed me.”

Allen believes both teams have a chance at winning.

“I think if Tony Romo can step up and play some good football like he has been, the Cowboys will win. I also think that if Brian Westbrook can play as well as he did against the Giants, the Eagles have a good chance to win,” said Allen.

The famous Brian Westbrook that Allen mentioned is a Philadelphia running back. In the game against the Carolina Panthers, Westbrook caught six passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.

Against the Indianapolis Colts, he set a career high of 124 yards rushing.

“He can run, catch and I’m sure he could throw if they let him. They can deploy him anywhere on the field and I think it takes a rare player to be comfortable with that,” said Parcells, according to NFL.com.

Westbrook is a key player in the fight against Dallas.

So far, Dallas is leading the NFC East division with 9 wins and 5 losses.

The Eagles are second in the division with 8 wins and 6 losses. If the Eagles win the next two games against Dallas and Atlanta, they are in the playoffs.

Senior, Kari Bohn, didn’t forget about TO’s switch from Philadelphia to Dallas.

“I just know that getting rid of Owens was a plus for the Eagles. He is a poor sport and is rotten to the core,” said Kari Bohn.

“Cowboys are going down. EAGLES ROCK!!!” said Kayli Smith, a fifth-grader.
