Dear La Vega High School Family,

After spending only two years at LVHS, I feel like it’s been my home for a lifetime. Shortly after school ended this summer, I had an opportunity to work closer to my home and closer to my children’s schools. I accepted a position at Valley Mills High School. While this is a welcome chance to be more involved with my kids and to save a lot of money on gas, it’s a sad step for me because I’m leaving so many special people. I have felt welcome, supported, appreciated, and challenged during my stay at La Vega. I’ll miss you all very much.

My parents tried hard to instill in me the attitude that I should always leave things, places, and people better than they were when I found them. I’m still working on that, but I can say, most definitely, that I am a much better person now than I was before I knew each of you. Thank you for having an impact on my life. I won’t forget any of you!
