Fall Out Boy unleashes “Black Clouds and Underdogs” along with the All-American Rejects and Hawthorne Heights. Tour hits Tampa April 27.

“Black Clouds and Underdogs” invade arenas around the U.S. this spring. Chicago-based Fall Out Boy, fresh from their Euro-tour, promote their latest album “From Under the Cork Tree.”

The first song off the album “Sugar, We’re Going Down” exceeded expectations and even became the most played video on MTV.

“Dance, Dance” followed there after. The newest release, “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More ‘Touch Me,’” is yet to reach the top. The boys also received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and may be working on a new album. They plan to test a [not yet released] song, “You Can’t Spell Star Without A and R.”

Fellow punk band, the All-American Rejects, is also incorporated in the tour. Their self-titled debut album includes the hit “Swing, Swing.” Yet their most recent album “Move Along,” launched “Dirty Little Secret.” Also make sure to check out their latest single “Move Along.”

Also scheduled to play are Hawthorne Heights and From First to Last.

Hawthorne’s debut album “The Silence in Black and White” hit the music world by breaking sales records and receiving gold record status. They also created a DVD, “This Is Who We Are,” featuring live concerts and behind the scenes footage.

The DVD was preceded by the release of “If Only You Were Lonely,” their sophomore album.

The “smaller band” of the tour, From First to Last, also recently released a sophomore LP, “Heroine.” The ambiguity behind the title portrays the band’s effective use of contrasts. “It’s one thing to play a certain type of music,” says singer Sonny Moore, “but it’s another thing to have no originality.”

Sources say From First to Last also tends to be the “butt” of pranks while on the “Black Clouds and Underdogs” tour.

According to Moore, the guys in Fall Out Boy raided their bus with video cameras, “we were all in our pajamas,” he adds.

Between now and May 15, when the tour ends in Chicago, they expect more mischief.

After the tour wraps up, each band will continue on its own internationally, before returning to the U.S. for this summer’s Warped Tour. So don’t miss the “Black Clouds and Underdogs” tour Thursday, April 27 at the St. Pete Times Forum.
