Magical Manatee: Zoology Club adopts rare animal

Have you noticed a cute and colorful creature in Mr. Zagray’s room recently? Zoology Club has added a new animal: a rare purple manatee named Manny. The animal was donated by an anonymous source, and the club has been doing everything possible to care for it.

“It’s so adorable, and manatees are my second favorite animal,” said sophomore Kayla Zagray.
Manny is a purple manatee, known for its fuzzy purple fur and lack of tail. It is a very rare sight, and believed to be near extinction. Zoology Club’s goal it to keep it happy and healthy in the hopes of saving its species and providing an overly cute animal to distract student from the biology classes taught in that room. The manatee is an excellent learning tool for lessons on animal care and focusing on classwork.

“Manny is fun to look at, and seeing him makes me forget about how bad Mr. Zagray’s room smells,” said sophomore Aaron Pinsoneault.

The manatee also has many convenient uses, like a ball or a friendly companion. Manny’s spherical shape makes him very aerodynamic, and many hours of fun can come from playing a game of manatee catch. Students have also found that Manny is very huggable, and always there in times of need. From failing one of Mr. Lambert’s chemistry tests to relationship problems, this manatee is always there to help.

“Manny is there for me to talk to when my girlfriend Michelle Clark is mean to me,” said senior Alex Greenlief.

From fun for all to family therapy, Manny the manatee brings positive experiences to all. The Zoology Club is lucky to have him, and all of Roosevelt benefits as well.
