The year 2012 is finally coming up, and you all know what that means...The end of the world!!! Just kidding...This New Year’s many people will make their annual resolutions that will fade away a few months later, but it’s only because they choose impossible resolutions such as: losing weight, improving grades or minimizing time spent on Facebook. Not that you should not try to do these things--they are important (and your parents and teachers will thank you for your improving grades).

This year, make a smaller resolution you would like to accomplish or improve. After taking a school survey, we got some interesting and inspiring ideas and thought it would be fun to share our top ten weirdest resolutions.

  • 13 percent of you said you would like to lose weight, and 3 percent surprisingly said you wanted to gain weight.
  • 26 percent of you said you would like to improve your grades.
  • 12 percent of you said you would try to spend less time on Facebook
  • 15 percent of you would like to quit an addiction.
  • 31 percent of you resoved to have pure randomness.

Now, the top ten weirdest answers (whose names will remain anonymous) we got were:

10. Become an ice princess.
9. Stop addiction to eating paperclips.
8. Cure my unhealthy obsession with deep V’s and flannels.
7. Try to find true love because of my complicated past.
6. Get a pet squirrel.
5. See a dog drive a car.
4. Bulk up muscle for my medieval-style senior photo.
3. Start a zombie apocalypse.
2. Build an autonomous and self-aware robot that may or may not go on a spree leading to it taking over the world and starting a robot empire.
1. Stop fantasizing about feet.

Happy 2012, Farmers!

After reading the post with good tips, I thought it would be good to mention that a person should also gauge the amount of calories they eat by the amount of calories their body burns. There actually is available an online calculator that will tell you how many calories your body is burning and how many calories you should eat per day to gain or lose weight. For anyone interested the weight gain calculator is located at http://howtogainweight123.com . This could help you to know how to adjust your diet to either gain weight or lose weight
