If you like the strong smell of fish and saltwater, then Monterey is the place to be! Monterey is a vacation spot in California. If you haven’t been there, it would be a great idea to take the whole family and stay over night for a few days to experience a whole new world. What I mean by that is, if you live in the country or in the city, then you will experience Monterey as a fun, fishy world. In Monterey, you can do all sorts of things such as; whale watching, kayaking, shopping, or just walking down the Wharf. If you’re wondering what the “Wharf” is… It is a big dock filled with shops and stores. Every time I go walking down the Wharf, I see kids getting face paintings, or getting an ice-cream cone, or a candy apple. There is one shop that has every sweet thing you could think of; candy, ice-cream, candy apples, cotton candy, etc. That shop is called “Carousel Fine Candies.” It even has a machine in the window of how to make Taffy. Another one of my favorite places to go in Monterey is the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They even have little touch pools, where you have the chance to touch a starfish. There are all sorts of weird, slimy creatures to touch in the touch pools. My favorite hotel to stay in when I am in Monterey is the Monterey Plaza and Spa. They have great service, and they keep everything very tidy and clean. While your there you can stop by the Blue Spa. The Blue Spa is on the top floor of the hotel. Go get some rich tasting coffee from Café La Strada. Come get a nice, warm, cup of coffee to wake you up every morning, while your there. Remember, this could be a once in a lifetime experience, so have as much fun as you can! You also will get a great view of the ocean! Are you afraid to take your pets on vacation with you? Well, FEAR NOT! Because at the Best Western Plus hotel in Monterey allows all pets! This hotel is also Monterey’s one and only beach-front resort. They say you can feel the ocean breezes wash trough your room. The hotel is right on the beach, so if you take your dog on a walk every morning, then all you have to do is walk outside to the beach. Your schedule won’t be messed up at all. Just make yourself at home and it will feel like paradise. After staying at this hotel, you won’t have to leave your pet at home anymore, worrying if it doesn't have food. Now, all your problems are solved.
