The Varsity Girls Soccer team

will advance to playoffs after

losing to Harlingen South, 4-0 on

Tuesday night at Boggus Stadium.

The game meant the girls are

tied with South for first place in

the district, which means they are

Co-District champions.

A coin toss on Wednesday

night will determine who will be

number one in the district. If they

lose the coin toss then the girls

will not only become second in

the district but will have a game

on Thursday or Friday. If they

win the toss, they have a buy for

the first game.

“It was a brutal game, a lot of

physical contact,” Galicia Cruz,

11, said. “I suffered swollen

shoulders and ankles.”

Until this game the girls were

undefeated in District. Our girls

won the coin toss.
