“The musicals and plays were giving me way too many gray hairs. We would put so much work into them and it would just be to stressful. I just can’t stand them anymore,” Mr. Cutrofello stated.

Cutrofello has decided as of March 2005 that the Wizard of Oz will be the school’s final acting production. From now on the Highlander Theater will start something new: Interpretive Dance.

This new style of theater production is going to begin autumn 2005, with the theater’s production of The Dragonfly.

“We expect the The Dragonfly’s ticket sales to be double the ticket sales of the Wizard of Oz. We may need to put on eight performances! It is going to be the biggest production in the schools history,” Cutrofello commented.

“It is beyond my wildest dreams that I would be able to go to a school with interpretative dance. I have never been more excited in my entire life! Musicals are so over the rainbow," said Sophomore Lorna Mulvaney.

Many of the other individuals involved in the theater have said that they too, “Live for interpretative dance”!

“I know that the new sound system will be great for the Wizard of Oz, but I am even more excited for The Dragonfly. I know that from now on that we will win the Halo Awards. I mean, what is better than Interpretative dance,” Cutrofello said.

The Highlander Theater is changing, but no one knows yet what the change to Interpretive Dance will bring.
