Carlisle softball has made great progress since their previous season.
Last year’s season, with a sub-par record of 4-15, has been left behind only to be seen in the record books.
This year, the Herd has an overall record of 6-5, and 4-3 in the division. Currently they are standing in the 12 spot out of 20 teams that earn their spot in districts every year.
Senior Cara Clouser said, “The girls have been putting a lot of effort into working hard to have a good season. Hopefully we can continue the wins.”
Junior Kelly Tomassone said, “I think we have a good chance of making it [to districts] if we keep working as hard as we are, and if we keep winning.”
Senior Amanda Harne said, “Our season is going good, because we have been working hard all offseason. It is really starting to pay off on the field as we start to win these one-run games that we lost last season.”
Effort can make any team great; only time will tell the outcome of their season.
