At the end of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, soccer star, David Beckham announced the location of the 2012 summer Olympics, London, England.
   "Let me tell you something about America; we do not lose!  Even if we don't win the Olympics, we still win in life.  Consequences for "beating" us ain't good for your country," David Desario said, a junior this year at CHS who is ready to watch the games comence.
   This year’s Olympics features 32 sports, including archery, badminton, and the strenuous table tennis.  The United States basketball team, the “Dream Team,” is once again the favorite to win it all.  LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, and Deron Williams are just a few NBA all-stars who are partaking in the games this year.  They are a surefire to win gold.
   Juniors Admir Omerovic and Tino Kezic are rooting for Bosnia in the Olympics.  "We want Bosnia to win and crush the competition, that probably won't happen though, but we hope they do well.  Go Bosnia!"
   Michael Phelps, after a personal rough patch following Beijing’s Olympics, is back.  In 2008 he set a world record, breaking Mark Spitz’s record of seven gold medals.  Phelps achieved what the world thought impossible: eight gold medals in a single Olympic games.  He led the United States to a total of 36 gold medals, 38 silver medals, and 36 bronze, a total of 110 medals, beating China by 10 medals in the final rankings.
   This summer, the United States of America hopes to be the eventual medal count winner, with tight competition from China and Great Britain.  The only setback for the United States this year is that the men’s soccer team didn’t qualify, upsetting soccer fans all over the country.
