As summer begins to approach, the big name music festivals are coming out as well, Coachella being one of them.
Coachella is a music festival that first started back in 1999, and has been reappearing every year since 2001. The festival takes place in the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, and features a wide variety of genres from rock to hip hop.
This year’s festival is a little different considering the fact that the festival will now be occurring over two different weekends making it twice as long, but who says that’s a bad thing?
The headliners this year include The Black Keys, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Some notable artists include Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine, At the Drive-In, and Arctic Monkeys. With this line-up of musicians, Coachella seems like it will leave nothing but fun memories in its fans minds.
After the first weekend of Coachella was over everyone was talking about one thing: Tupac. Tupac lived once again, but only as a hologram. He appeared along side Sunday’s headliners Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg for two songs. This trick has been done before during concerts but the fact that it was Tupac being brought back to life was something new.
The reaction to Tupac’s appearance wasn’t a bad one either. People found it to be a good idea, while some were in shock.
Only halfway into Coachella, it is safe to say that the festival is nothing but satisfying. There is still one weekend left and for those of you not in the Indo, California area, there's good news: you can watch the entire festival this weekend streaming live on YouTube.
