You will surely be seeing some long lines at Hersheypark this summer. Not just for the rides, but for some of the big events happening at Hersheypark Stadium and The Star Pavilion.
   Hershey kicks off the summer season with their Tour de Chocolate Town Bike Tour. The tour is happening to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Bicyclists get to chose from four different courses, the smallest course being 17.5 miles while the biggest course is 100 miles. The event is held on June 6 at beginning between 7-8:30 AM, and starts and finishes at Hersheypark Stadium.
   Coming to Hersheypark Stadium on June 29 is Dave Matthews Band. Dave Matthews Band is returning to the music scene this summer and will be stopping by Hershey as part of their 2012 North American Summer Tour. Tickets are now on sale, so be sure to get them now before this show is sold out.
   Stevie Nicks, an artist whose music dates back to the early 70’s, is performing in Hershey this summer on July 3. Nicks has had extreme success in the past including Grammy awards and achieving gold and platinum records. This addition to Hershey’s summer line up was a smart move and will be nothing but a successful show.   
   Nickelback is bringing their talent to Hershey this summer when they perform on July 14. Nickelback is a band that has been around since the mid 90’s and has sold nearly 45 million albums since. This is a band that will surely put on a good show this summer, so get your tickets now before it is too late.
   All you Big Time Rush fans are in luck, for they will be playing this summer on August 11 at Hershey Park Stadium. The four man group from Nickelodeon will be taking the stage this summer and opening up for them will be Cody Simpson. Tickets are now on sale, so get them now to see Big Time Rush this summer during their "Big Time Summer Tour."
   Finally Hershey Park Stadium goes out with a bang this summer with the Rock Allegiance. This event will take place on September 1 and will be featuring some big name rock bands as well. Headlining this festival will be the Stone Temple Pilots. This event will be hosting more than ten bands which include Three Days Grace, Seether, Daughtry, Buckcherry, and more. This is an event that will feature some of today’s big time rock groups for a full day, so don’t miss out.
