Upper Perk Water Polo had a productive year this year. Water polo co-captains Melissa Rapp and Aly Sweinhart provided the girls team with a strong backbone and the team worked well together.

“The seniors really pulled together,” said Rapp, “We knew we had nothing to lose so we just played our best.” Apparently so, the team won all the games they were predicted to win.

Rapp also complimented the junior girls, “The juniors did really well this year and stepped up when the time was right.”

Five of the starters on the team were seniors, which leaves the coaches with something to think about. The coaching staff will be faced with the fact that next year could possibly be dedicated to rebuilding the team.

Sweinhart said that rebuilding next year’s team will not be a problem. She also complimented the junior girls on the year by telling how they came out to play every game and play with the heart and will to win.
