The Leo’s Club sponsored a book drive from April 23 to May 28. Boxes for slightly used or new books were placed throughout the community in various locations such as banks, post offices, and pizza places. “We have about a thousand books so far, which is half of our goal and we are still collecting” commented head of the book drive, Caroline Lo. The books were donated to the Cop’s ‘n’ Kid’s Literacy Program.
The Leo’s club also participated in a highway cleanup on Route 663 on Saturday, April 21st. They took a field trip to Ephrata, Pa on Monday, May 11th to assemble care packages for people in need in Honduras.
