My Chemical Romance joined together in 2001 with the release of their first album in 2002. Only two years later they were releasing their second album and in 2006 their most popular album, "The Black Parade," was released. Now, over four years later, My Chemical Romance has released album number four entitled "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys."

Following the highly raved about "The Black Parade" expectations for their newest CD were high. Unfortunately, they fell short of it. It may have to do with the lack for promotion or the fact that My Chemical Romance waited a lot longer than many fans had hoped to release the CD.

The first single of "Danger Days" came as a surprise to many. "Na Na Na" was not what most fans expected as the new single. As annoying as the song is, it is catchy with the chorus repeating "na na na" many times. It doesn’t compare to the first single off "The Black Parade" but it still has fans singing along.

"Sing," featured on American Idol, is an uplifting song. It’s telling the listener to sing no matter what. With lyrics like "sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls, every time you lose it sing it for the world" it’s easy to conclude that singing will make it better for anyone if they just follow through.

The second single off "Danger Days" is titled "The Only Hope for Me Is You." It’s a completely different sound from "Na Na Na." The song is asking to be hope for someone because they want to feel as important as the person offering them help. They want to feel like they can do just a good a job as anyone and being hope for someone is their way of showing that.

"Summertime" is one of the slower songs on the CD. It’s a love song about being with someone and going anywhere with them at any given opportunity. "Bulletproof Heart" follows the same lines of being with someone but it follows a more rebellious route with lyrics like "we could run away, run away from here."

"The Kids From Yesterday" is about reminiscing on the past and looking at all the progress made. Everyone speaks of what they will do in the future but there’s few who actually get to speak of it in the past and present. This song proves that dreams can become reality. "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W" takes the direction of running away from fears rather than facing them. "Vampire Money" takes the opposite direction suggesting to just live it up and take the shots as they come.

Even with a CD that was less than impressive My Chemical Romance is still wowing fans. "Danger Days" just goes to prove that even with a not so good CD, a band can still make it. My Chemical Romance starts their new tour in early spring and are expected to appear on many tours and festivals throughout the coming year.
