Jonathan Law would like to congratulate Michael H. for succeeding in academics and being the Class of 2008 salutatorian.

Mike has been a valuable member of the Law community. He is part of National Honor Society, the tennis team, physics club and JETS team.

He had volunteered at the Golden Hill every Sunday helping set up church service and general needs of senior citizens.

Mike is attending the University of Connecticut next year with pre-pharmaceutical major.

“I chose UConn because of the cost, the areas it is in and the perfect location it is in,” said Mike.

Mike likes UConn because it is not too far from home but it is not too close.

Also, Mike likes the suburban area more than the urban area.

Mike applied to four colleges-Northeastern, Albany College and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and got accepted in all four of them.

“Before I wanted to be a pharmacist, I wanted to be an aerospace engineer,” said Mike.

However, after his grandfather passed away, Mike gained a different perspective on life.

“I want to help other people,” said Mike.

He is not sure yet if he wants his own pharmacy or not.

“Having my own pharmacy would be better because it is more community base than a big corporation,” said Mike.

However, there is another side to Mike that many might not know.

Mike loves cooking. He would like to go around the world and learn different cuisines.

“I want to go to different countries and learn how to cook at least one dish from it,” said Mike.

When it comes to Law and leaving high school behind, Ha says that mostly he will miss all his friends that made an impact on his life.

“Each person has made an impact on my life, so leaving would be like leaving a part of me with them,” said Mike.

Long time friends and classmates will miss Mike as well.

“Mike is a good dude,” said senior Annie P.

Classmates and friends agree that he is a good helper, good teacher, who is always willing to share his thoughts and knowledge with everybody.

“Mike definitely had become more social and broke out of his shell,” Annie said.

Teachers, as well ashis many friends will miss Mike.

“Mike is a hard-working, always prepared for class and fun to have in class student,” said Mr. Hoggatt.

No matter where Mike goes next year and in life, he will always be remembered here at Law as the nice, smart student who was always ready to help anybody who needed help.
