            With playoff hopes out of reach, the varsity football team finished its season by routing the Franklin Yellowjackets, 49-20, on Nov. 5. Tracy finished 4-6overall, 2-3 in league play and ended its season with two straight wins.

            “It is always nice to win,” coach Matt Shrout said. “Even though we were not going to the playoffs, it still felt good to end the season with a big win.”

            Casey Wichman completed six of eight passes for 170 yards and four touchdowns. Wichman finished his Tracy High career with 31 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and 2720 yards passing in two seasons.

            Wichman also led the team in rushing with 762 yards and about 5.6 yards per carry. Jordan Williams had 697 yards and 6.4 yards per carry.

            “It is sad that high school football is over, but I enjoyed it while it lasted,” Wichman said. “It was fun being with my team and playing hard until the very end.”

            Cole McDaniel finished with 57 yards on two receptions and a touchdown. McDaniel finished this season with 920 receiving yards and eight touchdown receptions.

            “I am glad we finished the season the way we did,” McDaniel said. “I am going to miss football, but now it is time to get ready for basketball season.”

            Tracy beat Bear Creek, 21-9, to snap a four-game losing streak on Oct. 29. The Bulldogs’ defense gave up its lowest point total of the season. Wichman rushed for 121 of Tracy’s 266 rushing yards, and scored all three of Tracy’s touchdowns.”

            “We played really well,” Wichman said, “It felt good to finally get a league win.”

            The sophomore football team lost to Franklin, 30-14, to finish its season at 4-6.

            The freshman football team lost to the Pacheco, 40-35, to finish the season at 5-4.
