The Samsung Epic 4G cell phone is the perfect gift for anyone, young or old. The Epic 4G is one of the best smartphones, up-to-date with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, a front and back camera, a slide out keyboard and an Android operating system. The 1 GHz Hummingbird processor is the fastest on any cell phone. Moving from screen to screen is so smooth it feels like using an actual computer. It can handle more applications at one time and not crash or lag if too many apps are running. Video chat is now an ease with a front facing camera. The Epic 4G can let you talk face to face to anyone that has a front facing camera. This is nice because it feels like talking to the person as if he or she is actually there. The phone sports a slide-out QWERTY with island style keys. The buttons feel a bit like cheap plastic but that may be good or bad depending on the user. It is huge compared to other cell phone keyboards. The Android OS is a major plus on this phone. It is simple and easy to get used to. The App Market has thousands of different games and apps to download. Android is the second most used operating system in the world, falling just short to the iPhone OS. One of the only negative points to this phone is that the battery life is not good at all. With regular use, it will need to be charged every night before going to sleep. Although it is an expensive phone, marked at $250 after mail-in rebate, in the end it is worth every penny.
